The Amazon Echo smart speaker is the latest in Amazon’s line of home entertainment products, aimed at becoming the central point of audio entertainment for your home while featuring an incredible voice-control system.
Its impressive omnidirectional audio speaker and voice recognition sets it apart from other smart speakers.
Let’s take a closer look at this smart speaker and I will list all the benefits.
Read till the end to see what I didn’t like about the Amazon Echo…
VOICE RECOGNITION
The Amazon Echo is a smart speaker that excels at everything it tries, the voice recognition is simply flawless and giving orders to the Echo is a breeze.
As we all know, voice commands don’t always work as intended but the voice recognition in this device has to be one of the best that we’ve seen yet.
The Echo also features a Voice Training Feature, which means that you can train your device to get better at recognizing your voice and your commands over time.
VOICE COMMAND
The voice command integration with apps such as Audible and Pandora means that you can continue listening where you left off on your computer, cell phone or tablet by simply asking the Echo to continue where you left off.
Another thing we like about the Echo is the fact that it does a fantastic job when it comes to finding and picking music for you.
You can simply ask for a genre, artist, mood or song and it will use your personal preferences and history to make playlists and play music.
APP SUPPORT
The fact that the Echo now has iTunes and Spotify support means that you won’t struggle to find the songs that you like.
All in all, the Amazon Echo features support for the most popular music, news and audiobook apps out there such as Pandora, iHeart Radio, Amazon, Audible and many more.

AMAZON ECHO SMART SPEAKER REVIEW CONS
So, you’ve read what I liked about the Amazon Echo – here’s what I don’t like…
LACK OF MOBILITY
One of the main things that we thought could be improved is the portability of the device; right now, the echo must be connected to the power in order to operate, although a wireless rechargeable version is expected in the future.
LIMITED CONNECTIVITY
While the Echo is not meant to be used as a personal entertainment device, the lack of a 3.5mm aux jack is simply unacceptable nowadays and the fact that the device does not feature and Ethernet jack is expected but still disappointing, especially for those with slower/less reliable connections.
LIMITED LANGUAGE SUPPORT
In the subject of voice support we found that it does a great job when it comes to commands in the English language, but we found that other languages are not currently supported, although this is sure to change in the future.
AMAZON ECHO SMART SPEAKER REVIEW VERDICT
Overall, the Amazon Echo is a good smart speaker that is sure to take over your audio playing needs whether you’re at home or the office, the incredible voice controls and its sleek design are only some of the reasons we’re so excited about this device that could become a staple in the near future.
If you’re looking for an incredible device with a fantastic speaker and plenty of functionality, then you simply can’t go wrong with the Echo.
